In this class we break down the foundations of yoga in a slow paced, accessible and enjoyable 30-45 minute session. Learn the foundations of pranayama (breath), asana (postures) and meditation,. This class was created to welcome in those who are curious about yoga, want to begin a practice but don’t know where to start. This is your class! Come on in, you wont regret it.
BUTI yoga is a unique practice, known for its cardio-intensive bursts of tribal dance, primal movement, and conditioning. Created by celebrity trainer Bizzie Gold, an taught by special guest teacher Dana Strang, it’s designed to offer a calorie-scorching, body sculpting, and dynamic yoga practice.

Divination is defined as “the practice of seeking hidden knowledge” by sharpening intuitive perception. You have probably been taught of the 5 senses – taste, smell, vision, hearing and touch. This class does not exist anywhere else in the world.
Haṭha yoga is considered an umbrella term to describe many of the most common forms of yoga taught today in the U.S. With this style of yoga (as compared with Vinyasa style) you move your body more slowly and deliberately into different poses. There is more emphasis on breathing, posture and stretching. Some of the benefits of doing this style of yoga are stress reduction, muscle and joint flexibility and studies have shown that it significantly decreases levels of anxiety and depression. Strength, flexibility, mindfulness and relaxation are the focus in these classes.
In our fast-paced, busy world, we sometimes need a reminder to slow down, take pause, and be present. Slow flow gives us the opportunity to do just that. By moving slowly and mindfully through each posture, we are able to bring awareness to our body and breath in the present moment.
This restorative class incorporates Reiki, meditation and deep YIN poses to help nourish and soothe the central nervous system. It targets deep connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, joints & bones) and is slower and more meditative than other traditional types of yoga.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga where you flow from one pose into the next at the teacher’s discretion coordinated with your breathing. It can be a meditative and also a physically challenging workout depending on the level of class. Some of the benefits of doing vinyasa flow style classes are an increase in endurance and strength, stability and balance as well as lowering stress and anxiety. Vinyasa type classes move at a faster pace than Hatha style classes.
The 606 Series encompasses all the wisdoms of Hatha, Vinyasa and Tantra yoga. This intelligent sequence is a synergy of Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation and Tantra to form a complete and total practice. The series of asana poses was designed to specifically increase vital force, heal and tone the body, balance the nervous system, tone the body and access the intricacies of the mind and soul.
Shala 606 is one of the ONLY studios in South West MI that uses Infrared Heaters for classes. Infrared heated yoga uses an infrared radiant heating system reaching temperatures between 95- 105 degrees.

This women’s only class teaches you how to train, condition and fight like a competitive boxer. Lead by Chicago Golden Glove Champion and female USA Boxing coach, Clare Ramirez, this class will get you in your most mental and physical shape. There is no better shape than fighting shape.
The class for the mature warrior and ageless boxer. This class is for ages 50+ seeking to gain, maintain mental and physical strength and vitality through boxing conditioning. USA Boxing classifies boxers 41 years and up as the Master Division. There are national opportunities for boxers 41 and beyond to compete or just train like you are.
Specifically designed for ages 7-9 wanting to train like a boxer in both body and mindset!Youth boxers are conditioned and trained in the sport of boxing. Boxers will learn the fundamentals; conditioning and technique. Sparring is available but not required. Required equipment: mouth guard, hand wraps, 10-16oz boxing gloves.

Learn to Salsa, Cuban style! In Cuba, everyone grows up knowing how to dance. It’s how you connect to your grandparents, your children, it’s how you connect to life. Come join us with your partner or friends to learn Salsa Suelta, a style of salsa danced without a partner, when people want to party and dance together as a larger group in any situation. This class will be taught by Dayan Ramirez, a professional musician and life-long dancer from Cuba who has lived in Southwest MI for the past year. Come connect your head to your feet, enjoy some Valentine’s champagne and chocolate, and for a little moment in time connect your body to life.
Held monthly for like minded women, (and folx connected to the feminine) who are interested in exploring spirituality, mysticism, astrology and their intuition. In history, these gatherings provided a safe and sacred space where women could share their knowledge and support each other through various challenges. Today, such circles continue to exist but have expanded to encompass other areas, including spirituality, personal growth, and activism.
Women’s circles provide a space where members can come together to support each other in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment. They offer a way to connect with others on a deeper level and work through emotional and personal challenges. In addition, women’s circles create a powerful sense of community, which helps women to feel less alone in their struggles.
Women’s circles can take many different forms, including meditation or mindfulness practices, chanting or singing, sharing stories and wisdom, or practicing different healing modalities. These circles can be facilitated by someone trained in a particular practice or can be led by members of the group themselves.
Participating in a women’s circle can be a transformative experience and can help individuals to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others. It can also help to foster a sense of collective responsibility, which is a key element of social change and activism.

This camp helps kids to tap into their natural ability for movement, play and meditation. Lead by Shala 606 founder and yoga and meditation teacher Clare Ramírez.
Camp is Wed-Friday June 14-16th from 9-11:15am

Cost is $90, yoga mats provided
We invite your kids for an exciting 3 days of fun for ages 5-10 years old. We will learn various yoga poses while practicing age-appropriate mindful meditation strategies to help them connect to their inner calm and strength. Your kids will build strong connections with themselves and their peers. We hope to see you there! Please send your kids with a nut-free snack and water bottle.
