For the Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting: – 8 oz cream cheese, softened – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened – 3-4 cups powdered sugar – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat the Oven and Prepare Muffin Tin: – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and set aside.

Mix Dry Ingredients: – In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar: – In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, using a hand mixer or stand mixer.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: – Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Mix in the vanilla extract.

Alternate Mixing Dry Ingredients and Buttermilk: – Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined after each addition. Be careful not to overmix.

Fill Cupcake Liners: – Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.

Bake: – Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
