Pecan Perfection Pie

Ingredients: For the crust: – 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 3 tablespoons ice water

For the filling: – 1 1/2 cups pecan halves – 3 large eggs – 1 cup light corn syrup – 1/2 cup packed brown sugar – 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). 2. In a food processor, combine the flour, diced butter, and granulated sugar. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press the dough into a 9-inch pie dish, covering the bottom and sides. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges. Place the pie crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.

In a dry skillet, toast the pecan halves over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until they become fragrant. Remove from heat and let them cool.

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. 2. Arrange the toasted pecan halves in the chilled pie crust. Pour the egg mixture over the pecans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown. If the crust edges start to brown too quickly, you can cover them with aluminum foil.
