Strawberry Bread

Ingredients: – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup granulated sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using). Set aside.

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, using a hand mixer or stand mixer. 2. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the Greek yogurt or sour cream. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.

1. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and nuts (if using) using a spatula or wooden spoon. 2. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
